Fall Colors at Colorado's Mt. Sneffels Range
Ridgeway, Colorado
I grew up reading the novels of Louis L'Amour; the stories of the Sackett's, cowboys on the range and of the landscape of the west. They left me with a love of the west. When I go old enough to drive, I began travelling throughout the mountains of Colorado, and even though I've moved away several times, I keep coming back to the Colorado mountains.
It’s hard to beat or explain the splendor of fall in Colorado’s Mt. Sneffels Range, with it gold and yellow aspens quaking in the wind and the smell of soon coming snow in the wind. Not surprising about this location is that it's also a magnet for photographers - during my visit, I could see at least 30 other photographers lined up along the road as I was.
