Desert Palo Verde in Summer
It's very hot - 7:10pm at 106° F - we have just come out of the hottest week of the year so far. I'm out testing a new lens - the Sigma 24mm f 1.4 Art. This is the first non-Nikon lens I have bought in years; it's supposed to be very sharp, and I'm keen to find out. Palo verde – Spanish for green wood or stick – refers to the plant’s greenish branches and trunk and can be found in abundance in the Superstitions (and elsewhere in this area).
