Petals and Dew

Walking along the Ahr River early one morning in the town of Bad Neuenahr I came across a small garden dedicated to the Dahlia. It was early and there was a light fog in the air, so I was concentrating on close ups of the dew drops on the petals; seeking patterns in the flower. I've found that Waterlily Dahlias lend themselves quite easily to this approach.

Waterlily dahlias (WL) — Double blooms, broad sparse curved, slightly curved or flat florets and very shallow in depth compared with other dahlias. Depth less than half the diameter of the bloom. - Wikipedia
