Hotel Goldener Hecht on a Wet Morning

I was walking the streets of Heidelberg on a wet morning, and found the lights on Steingasse street to be inviting. I didn't stay in this hotel, but perhaps on a future trip. I love the location and ambiance of the hotel.

The oldest part of the city, the Altstadt sits just below the Heidelberg Castle (Schloss), and extends along the river for a mile, with Karlstor on one end, and Bismarckplatz on the other. The Altstadt is a wonderful combination of old and new buildings, narrow streets, market squares, arts, history, shopping, eating and relaxing.
