Kittsteintor from the Tauber River
I lived in Wertheim, many years ago, but the memory of my time there, while dim, has never faded. It was here that I found so much about Germany and her people to love. It was here that I found much peace. Then it was a sleepy town, but now has become much more tourist oriented. Still, the town has the same charm it did all those many years ago.
Wertheim is a town in southwestern Germany, in the state of Baden-Württemberg with a population of 22,461. It is located on the confluence of the rivers Tauber and Main. Wertheim is best known for its landmark castle and medieval town. Wertheim was founded between the 7th and 8th century.
