Starbucks in Altstadt (Old Town) Heidelberg

I remembered from a previous visit that there was a Starbucks in the Altstadt (Old Town), so when a friend asked me to bring back a Starbucks coffee cup from Germany, I knew where to go. From the outside this looks like just another Starbucks, but once you step inside, it's obvious this building was built with care and an eye towards beauty; it has chandalier that seems oddly out of place for a coffee shop. This Starbucks is located on Hauptstraße (Main Street).

Heidelberg's Hauptstraße is the main shopping area in the Altstadt, lined with historic buildings and elegant shop with as well as international high-street chain stores, and is Europe's longest car free zone. Heidelberg University has a number of buildings along the Hauptstraße as well, so you are likely to encounter college students from around the world here.
